Our educator workshops provide fun and hands-on opportunities to teach STEAM in formal and informal settings. Registration fees pay for supplies. However, educator scholarships are available and can be requested in each registration link.


Spooky Sci: The Sequel
Sept. 22, 2025 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | Trick or Treat? Back by popular demand (or maybe museum staff personal interest) the spookiest workshop around has a part two. Explore even more of the scary, spooky, and fantasy-related STEAM with this hands-on workshop. Get ready for the fall season with various seasonal crafts and activities while using the engineering design process, inquiry, and more! Costumes encouraged.
Jurassic STEAM
Oct. 20, 2025 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | *cue dinosaur roar* Let your inner dino-loving kid shine! Join us as we go back to the land before time for a day filled with dinosaur-related activities and learning. We will be exploring the world of dinos through hands-on STEAM activities and literacy connections. Participants will leave with inspiration for all things Jurassic!
Sound of Science
Nov. 20, 2025 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | What are sound waves? How does sound even work? How do I teach this to others? All of these questions, and more, will be answered in this workshop. Come build your brains and educator skills while grooving to some science and tunes! We'll explore the connections between music, sound and STEAM through hands-on investigation and practical materials.

Let’s Get Physics-al
Dec. 8, 2025 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | Let’s get into Physics! We are demystifying the realm of Physics in this workshop. Join us as we explore different principles and laws of Physics through kid-friendly activities and experiments. You will leave this fun-filled day with a better understanding of how our Physical world works and the ability to facilitate that same learning with your students.

Amazing Me
January 15, 2026 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | How do our organs function? Why do we experience fear? You are amazing, and so is your body! We will be exploring the vast science of human biology and brain development through hands-on activities and demonstrations. In this workshop, we will cover everything from “gross” body functions to the science of developing neural pathways.
Tinker Tots
February 23, 2026 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | Join us as we learn through play! This workshop dives into the philosophy of tinkering and play in educational environments. We will explore best practices, activity creation, and inspiration for fun-filled learning catered to all ages. No previous facilitation experience needed!

Maker Market pt.2
March 16, 2026 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | Calling all aspiring entrepreneurs! Level up your maker skills, product ideas and creativity with this hands-on, minds-on workshop where we will learn to operate maker equipment and materials. We will also explore how to mix economics into STEAM lessons in an educational setting. This workshop will inspire all to consider learning more about and participating in maker markets.

Intro to Digital Design
April 23, 2026 | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | Enter the digital world of STEAM as we explore activities and learning related to coding, digital art, and computer science! The digital age has brought new learning, tools, machines, and skills to the education world, and this workshop will focus on best practices for utilizing these resources.
