Summer Discovery Camps
We offer a variety of themed week-long day camps for ages 6-12.
General Information
Join us for a summer where Fun = Learning and Learning = Fun! Our hands-on, themed camps are packed with excitement and designed with kids in mind, making them the highlight of any camper’s summer. Each day is filled with engaging experiments, creative crafts, lively showtimes, museum exploration, and plenty of outdoor play. It’s the perfect way for curious minds to discover, create, and make unforgettable summer memories.
Cost per week-long camp: $350 member/$375 non-member
- Camp days are 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, providing plenty of playtime and catering to working parent schedules.
- To provide available spots for other families, campers are limited to no more than four weeks to a summer.
- Campers should choose different themes each week. Repeating the same thing is not recommended.
- Clustering campers with similar levels of development benefits everyone. That’s why age ranges for camps are strictly enforced.
- Our camps are high energy and can be overstimulating for those with sensory sensitivities. Our camps do follow a fairly predictable routine, so let us know if learning more about our schedule may benefit your camper.

June 1-5
Pets & Vets | Ages 6-7
All animals, big and small, need care - we're going to learn how! We will meet the Museum's animal ambassadors, learn how we keep them happy and healthy, and make crafts for the critters back at home.
Nerf's Up | Ages 7-8
Nerf's Up, Campers! In this high-energy camp we'll make our own targets, explore the physics of flight, and even take apart a blaster to see how they work.
Pokemonology | Ages 8-9
Jump into the exciting world of Pokemon, where incredible creatures live alongside humans! We will explore the habitats, adaptations, and abilities of these creatures, to uncover the similarities we see in our natural world.
Minecraft Camp | Ages 10-12
It's the game you love, but better! We will explore with friends, fight boss monsters, and create Epic Builds in-game. Then unplug for survival and creative activities - in real life!
June 8-12
Lego Block Party | Ages 6-7
Calling all builders on the block! Our Master Builders-in-training will create LEGO race cars, mosaics, zoos, and more that flex creativity and build skills.
Pokemonology | Ages 7-8
Jump into the exciting world of Pokemon, where incredible creatures live alongside humans! We will explore the habitats, adaptations, and abilities of these creatures, to uncover the similarities we see in our natural world.

CodeBots | Ages 10-12
Take your first steps into the world of robotics with our LEGO Spike kits. We will learn coding basics and work in teams to explore the exciting world of technology and engineering.

Splash Camp | Ages 6-7
Water you waiting for? We will explore the fun science that H2O has to offer in splash camp, full of pirate adventures, mermaid magic, and a splashin' good time.
Lego Block Party | Ages 7-8
Calling all builders on the block! Our Master Builders-in-training will create LEGO race cars, mosaics, zoos, and more that flex their creativity and build skills.
Minecraft Camp | Ages 8-9
It's the game you love, but better! We will explore with friends, fight boss monsters, and create Epic Builds in-game. Then unplug for survival and creative activities - in real life!
Next Level Labs | Ages 10-12
Science Labs? You've seen them but now it is time to take it up a notch! Campers will explore deeper the hands-on science the museum is known for with big chemistry experiments and awesome explosions to make your week a blast.
June 22-26
Cosmic Quest | Ages 6-7
3 … 2 … 1 … BLAST OFF with us for an out-of-this-planet camp! We’ll learn what life is like in space and explore rockets, constellations, and our solar system.
KPop Sci | Ages 7-8
Huntr/x showed you how its done, done, done, but now it's time to band together and take K-pop to a scientific level! We will build our own ligthsticks, create crystal candy pops, and have ultimate dance parties.

It's the game you love, but better! We will explore with friends, fight boss monsters, and create Epic Builds in-game. Then unplug for survival and creative activities - in real life!
Biology: Under the Microscope | Ages 10-12
Calling all future biologists! In this camp we will hone skills in investigation and observation as we examine different aspects of biology. Every day we will meet a new animal ambassador, look at different plant and animal pieces under a microscope, and dissect a preserved specimen (ramping up in difficulty throughout the week).
June 29 - July 3
Weird & Wacky Wilds | Ages 6-7
Which animal can go the longest without taking a breath? Why don't animals freeze solid during winter? We will learn all about it at Weird & Wacky Wilds Camp! Each day we will learn about different biome and the awesome (and weird) adaptations animals have to survive there, create our own weird and wacky animal, and meet a new animal everyday from our animal ambassador collection!

July 6-10
Fizz, Pop... ART! | Ages 6-7
Who says science and art don't mix? In this colorfully creative camp we'll be exploring color, light, textures, and more through the lens of science to create our own masterpieces.
Science Seekers | Ages 7-8
It's time for some exciting exploration! We will channel our inner treasure hunter, solving scavenger hunt puzzles, racing through a booby trap obstacles, and creating dazzling DIY treasures.
Super Power Sci | Ages 8-9
Superheroes may be fiction, but super science is not! We will explore areas of science that let humans do things we wouldn't ordinarily be able to do, and check out the scientific inspiration for some of our favorite superheroes.
YouTube Creators | Ages 10-12
Hey, YouTube welcome to our channel! Whether completely new to content creation, an aspiring youtuber, or somewhere in between; Campers of all experience levels are welcome! In YouTube Creators camp we will make multiple videos throughout the week, racing to upload before Friday's showtime!
July 13-17
Dino Discoveries | Ages 6-7
Did you hear that? This dinosaur camp is a ROARING good time! We will put on our paleontology hats for a week of exploring and digging for dinosaurs.
Super Power Sci | Ages 7-8
Superheroes may be fiction, but super science is not! We will explore areas of science that let humans do things we wouldn't ordinarily be able to do, and check out the scientific inspiration for some of our favorite superheroes.
Lights, Camera, SCIENCE | Ages 8-9
...aaand ACTION! We're exploring what goes into our favorite movies and videos, from storyboarding to sound effects. This is a week of creativity for future filmmakers.
YouTube Creators | Ages 10-12
Hey, YouTube welcome to our channel! Whether completely new to content creation, an aspiring youtuber, or somewhere in between; Campers of all experience levels are welcome! In YouTube Creators camp we will make multiple videos throughout the week, racing to upload before Friday's showtime!

This sugar rush is scientifically proven! We will spend a week combining chemistry and confection to create sweet, sour, and chocolatey experiments.
Witches, Muggles, & Sci | Ages 7-8
All abord from Platform 9 3/4! This week campers will unlock the science behind Hogwarts' best kept secrets! Create our own wands, dive into potions class, and get an up-close look at Honeydukes' candy bar.
July Sci Sampler | Ages 8-9
Why settle for one theme when we can try a new one each day? In July Sci Sampler, campers will get to sample a wide range of science topics and concepts that get us excited about STEAM!

Calling all artists and makers! This camp will utilizing technology to create unique works of art. With equipment like 3D printer, electric kiln, and a laser cutter, campers will unlock new ways of expression. Whether you are interested in being the next Picasso, want to have fun while making art, or see how technology can be a tool to do extraordinary things- this camp will be fun for everyone.

Holiday Sci Sampler | Ages 6-7
Seasons Greetings from MOD! Discover the science and fun behind our favorite holidays, all in one week. Activities include crafting your own New Year’s confetti poppers, brewing potions worthy of Halloween, and discovering the secrets of snowflakes in summer.
Dare to Design | Ages 8-9
Design your dream! We will learn how to use different tools and materials to create the toy, room, or gadget we've always wanted.
