For In Museum Field Trips!

Group Rate Details

  • Group rates are available for groups of 15 or more and require registration at least two weeks in advance. 
  • Field trips fill quickly during the peak season (March–May), so consider booking in the fall or other off-peak times. 
  • A 1:5 adult-to-child ratio is required. If this is a hardship for your group, please contact the museum.

GROUP FEES:

  • Group Admissions: $12 per person
  • Awesome Package: $15 per person 
  • Ultimate Package: $17 per person 
  • School staff (teachers, aides, and bus drivers) are free!
  • Our two-story climber must be reserved for groups on a first-reserved, first-served basis. Book early to get your group dedicated time on the climber! 
  • Museum classrooms can be reserved as a lunch room. 25 students every 25 minutes for $25. Limited availability. This rate is only available for school groups. Unavailable in June & July.

PAYMENT:

  • Credit cards, cash, and checks accepted. 
  • Payment is due on the day of your field trip. 
  • Please bring your final attendee count and submit a single payment at check-in to help speed up admission. 
  • Membership benefits and other discounts (including SNAP/Science for All) do not apply to children or chaperones participating in a group visit.

LUNCHROOM RENTAL:

  • Lunchroom rental (25 minutes, up to 25 people): $25 when booked at least one week in advance.
  • Day-of requests: $50 per rotation due to last-minute classroom setup.
  • Space is limited, especially March–May, and is unavailable during summer break (June- mid-Aug).

Day Of Information

Here is all you’ll need to know about arrival and enjoying the museum the day of your field trip!

ARRIVAL & PARKING:

  • Museum of Discovery 500 President Clinton Avenue, Little Rock, AR
  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in, payment, and orientation.
  • Museum staff will meet bus groups at the loading zone (directly in front of the museum entrance) and escort them inside.
  • During drop off, buses should pull alongside the curb for safety, and to avoid blocking traffic.
  • If the bus is across the street from the museum upon arrival, please have the bus continue driving straight to the President Clinton Library, turn around in their large cul-de-sac, and return to the museum. The bus doors should be directly in front of the Museum of Discovery’s main entrance. (Consider including a map for reference)
  • Buses must leave the loading area after unloading. Parking may be available at the East Fourth Street Post Office lot or the Clinton Presidential Museum.
  • Free and paid parking are available nearby for cars.

CHAPERONES:

  • We require a ratio of at least one adult to five children for all groups.
  • Chaperones must stay with and supervise their group at all times. 
  • To enrich the experience, we ask adults to consistently engage & participate with their students.

GROUP SCHEDULES:

  • Scheduled groups receive a customized itinerary upon arrival that includes museum exploration, programs, lunch, and other reserved activities.
  • Please follow your assigned schedule and staff directions to help prevent overcrowding.

Behavior Expectations

To ensure an enjoyable visit for everyone, please review these expectations with students and chaperones before arriving.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR:

Be Safe:

  • Walk at all times—no running or roughhousing.
  • Stay with your group.

Be Respectful

  • Use inside voices.
  • Take turns at exhibits.
  • Respect other guests and use exhibits as intended.

Be Curious

  • Explore, experiment, and ask questions!

Groups that do not follow museum expectations may be asked to leave without a refund.

EXPLORE STORE:

  • Souvenirs, snacks, and drinks are available for purchase.
  • Students should remain supervised while shopping.
  • To help reduce checkout lines, encourage students to plan purchases in advance and bring sufficient spending money.
