Squid and Shark Dissections!

Squid Dissection

Other than being a delicious treat when fried, squid are incredibly fascinating to explore inside and out.  We will learn about their eyesight, circulation, and get-away tactics.  Don’t be afraid to make this one ink, because we are writing stinky inky messages using the ink from the squid itself.

Shark Dissection

While a dogfish shark won’t be getting any ominous music scored to it as it stalks through the water, this tiny shark is still an expert predator. We will explore the texture of shark skin, digestive, circulatory, and reproductive systems, and the mechanism in which they are able to float in the water column.
