Everything You Need To Know Before Booking Your Tour

Minimum Age: 6 years of age

Maximum # per Tour: 7 people

Tour Time: 45-60 minutes

Price: $75 for Members / $100 for Non-Members. Museum admission is separate and required.

  • ACCESSIBILITY: The tour enters a working area of the Museum and is not ADA accessible. Service animals are not permitted to enter. Limited modifications for accessibility may be accommodated. Please contact us with accommodation requests at least 48 hours prior to your tour to help us build the best possible experience.
  • AGE: All participants must be at least 6 years old. Participants 17 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. One adult cannot be responsible for more than two children 12 and under.
  • ALLERGIES: Please alert animal care staff during introductions to any allergies your party has. If you are allergic to cats and dogs, you will most likely be allergic to the mammals in our facility. Please also note that food borne allergens (peanut, soy, egg) will be present in the room. Depending on the severity of your party’s allergy we may not be able to accommodate your needs.
  • ARRIVAL: All participants should check-in at the Admission Counter 10 minutes before their tour begins. Museum admission is separate and required.
  • BOOKING: We offer two tour time slots per day at 11:00 and 2:00, Wednesday through Saturday. Holidays and school breaks may affect availability. 
  • CANCELLATION: Tour purchases are non-refundable. Tours missed without prior notification will not be rescheduled. Requests to reschedule tours are subject to availability. Any program involving animals is subject to change or cancellation by the Museum based on animal or human safety considerations, including severe weather. Every effort will be made to reschedule tours. If you feel sick in any way on your tour date, please contact us to reschedule your tour.
  • CONDUCT: Participants will enter a working area of the Museum and be in close proximity to animals. Participants must follow instructions from staff at all times. Participants who are disruptive and/or do not follow staff instructions may be removed from the tour without a refund.
  • SHOES: For the safety of our staff and animals, all participants must wear shoes that completely enclose the foot. No sandals, flip-flops, or similar footwear. 
  • PHOTOS: No photos can be taken inside of the Animal Care Facility. 
  • FOOD/DRINK: No food or drinks of any kind are permitted inside of the Animal Care Facility. Photos may be taken during the Ambassador Animal Meet and Greet outside of the Animal Care Facility.
