Noon Year’s Eve
Has it been a while since you heard that iconic countdown on the final day of the year? If you’re a parent of small children, staying up late to ring in the New Year can be just plain unfeasible. Or maybe you long for a more family-friendly affair. Well, don’t let the night owls have all the fun. Bring the kids out to the Museum of Discovery and join us as we ring in the “Noon Year” on Saturday, December 31. We’ll have kid-friendly activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and, of course, a whopping big countdown to the noon hour! Noon Year’s Eve is included in regular museum admission or free for members.
For the first time this year, we’ll offer a private countdown show for you to ring in the “Noon Year” like a VIS (very important scientist)! We’ve curated a private experience for families that will involve meeting an animal that does like staying up past midnight, oohing and aahing in a never-before-seen noon countdown science show and a sparkling cider toast! It will be from 11:30 – past noon and will be an additional $7 for members and non-members. Attendance is limited.
