The Museum of Discovery is devoting a day to making messes at its fourth annual “Messtival” event, which will be presented from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18. At “Messtival,” visitors will be able to play with slime, mud, water, foam and more. Even better, guests will not have to clean up their messes. The messy festival will take place inside and outside the museum.
Guests should wear clothes and shoes that can get messy as well as a change of clothes. There will be cleaning stations available.
Messtival is included in regular museum admission or free for museum members.
The Museum of Discovery is Arkansas’s premier science and technology center, and our mission to ignite and fuel a passion for science, technology, engineering, arts and math through dynamic, interactive experiences. Our museum is the oldest in the state of Arkansas, founded in 1927. We became the Museum of Discovery in 1998 when we moved to our River Market location. Thanks to a $9.2 million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, we debuted 90 new, interactive, hands-on exhibits in 2012.
