Join our exciting Homeschool Classes and Saturday Series this fall with hands-on science adventures for curious minds!
Our Homeschool Series and Saturday Family Classes offers fun and immersive hands-on science experiences designed for young learners. Registration fees cover all necessary supplies, ensuring that each participant is fully equipped for their session. Don’t miss out on these interactive labs that combine education and excitement!
Fall Homeschool Series
Due to the use of sharp tools, long participation time, and content covered, this program is not suitable for those under the age of seven.
Spooky Science
Thursday, October 10: Whooo is ready to live their best spooky science life by joining us for a split lab session between an owl pellet dissection and dry ice experiments? We will learn about animal food webs and diets by exploring the un-digested material in an owl pellet and try to reconstruct the skeletons of the animals we find inside. Then, try your hand at making the bubbliest potion using dry ice and learning about the chemistry behind the bubble.
Ichy Art
Thursday, November 7: This lab mixes both art and science: Gyotaku and dissection. This split lab will explore the artful printing process using the fish themselves and then don our ichthyology caps and explore the internal anatomy of one of our ichy friends.
Mad for Matter
Thurday, December 5: Solids, and liquids, and gasses, oh my! Don your lab coats and safety glasses for this intensive hands-on chemistry lab. We will mix, measure, and pour our way through the periodic table and combine our knowledge of the elements and states of matter for a sweet treat at the end!
Fall Saturday Family Classes
