Join us at the Museum of Discovery for a hands-on learning experience with the programming language of Scratch. With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. It is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. This workshop will provide participants with the basic skills needed to begin using Scratch in the classroom, library or home to create simple animations and codes.
Teachers can also receive 4 hours of professional development credits through the Arkansas Department of Education.
To register, pay the fee and fill out the registration form.
