Covid Safety Guidelines

Before planning a trip to Museum of Discovery, please review a list of our safety procedures

 

  • Following the recommendation of the CDC, face masks are encouraged for everyone age 2 or older.
    • Masks should cover your mouth and nose. There should be no gaps between your face and the mask.
  • Please maintain a minimum of six feet of distance inside the museum from individuals not in your party

DO NOT Enter if you:

  • Have had fever of 100.4°F or greater in the last 2 days
  • Have a cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell
  • Have had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days

 

Museum of Discovery has implemented a number of policies and procedures for the safety and comfort of our guests. These include:

  • Limiting crowd size to less than the two-thirds capacity
  • Increased cleanings
  • Increased number of hand sanitizer stations

 

During the museum’s closure in 2020, a number of safety installations were made that include:

  • Hospital-grade air filters throughout the building
  • UV lights in all air ducts to destroy airborne viruses, bacteria and pollutants
  • Plexiglass shields at the admissions and Explore Store desks

 

Room to Grow:

Please review our six and younger gallery rules:

  • The number of Room to Grow guests will be limited for social distancing
  • No more than 5 children in the climber at once
  • Adults, please keep your children 6 feet from other guests
  • Room to Grow will be closed periodically throughout the day for cleaning, as needed
