Arkansas Heart Hospital to Support Cardiac Education at Museum of Discovery
Little Rock, Ark. (Dec. 7, 2017) – The Museum of Discovery announced today that Arkansas Heart Hospital will sponsor heart health programming at the science center. The sponsorship includes support for heart-related exhibits, heart dissection labs for school groups and a series of heart health days at the museum open to all visitors, with the first event set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, December 29.
Through the Arkansas Heart Hospital’s support, museum visitors will gain insight into the anatomy and physiology of the heart as well as the importance of exercise, healthy diet and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to improve cardiac health.
“We are delighted to partner with the Museum of Discovery,” said Dr. Bruce Murphy, Chief Executive of Arkansas Heart Hospital. “It is a natural fit to have Arkansas Heart Hospital take the lead in supporting exhibits related to the heart.” Murphy added, “Children will have a firsthand look at the interworkings of the cardiovascular system, and for some it will stir a desire for a future in cardiology.”
